first landscape

Like the previous post, I think I longed for brighter days.  We have gotten quite a bit of snow recently and while I love the beauty it holds, I am not very fond of the 10 degree days.  This was taken on a hike I took this fall.  I loved painting this and look forward to working on more landscapes.  (6x6 inch oil on gessoed board)

It's been a while

It has been quite sometime since I have posted anything here.  I ran into some unforeseen struggles with ventilation at home as the days grew colder and just recently was able to continue somewhere else.  In honor of the cold I decided on this photo I took from florida last year.  With at least six inches of snow on the ground it seemed fitting.  (6x6 inch oil on gessoed board)

getting things going

This is my second painting & I am really excited by the turnout.  It can be hard to let loose to do these paintings in under two hours, but I am enjoying it.
